My program hosted a Thanksgiving dinner for us tonight! (Even though Thanksgiving is not a holiday here, obvi.) It was really fun :)
Bread.
Appetizer: fried eggplant with honey. This was not a traditional Thanksgiving meal, but the food was so delicious so it's all good.
They put us these extras in front of me and Bernadette and said, "Since it seemed like you guys really liked these" and yeah they got us. We did really like these.
Appetizers: gyoza. Everyone else had croquettes but they had ham in them so not for me. Thank you to the restaurant for giving me an alternative.
Appetizer: pumpkin soup. I thought this looked like gazpacho with bacon on top, but luckily it wasn't. I'm not into gazpacho and the "bacon" was actually onion.
Restaurant views.
Entree: sea bream for me.
Forgot to take a picture of dessert (chocolate cake), but it was sooo good (Exhibit A below). And I don't really like chocolate. Incredible work.
Got peppermint tea after dessert and I didn't like it. I've been wanting to get into tea and this made me finally come to terms with the fact that I just don't like it.
Looks like fun for all! (But I would've had to had the croquettes!).
