I love Thursdays. I just have class from 8:30--10AM, which is the same as Friday. But on Friday I feel more pressure to take advantage of the weekend, whereas Thursdays I don't feel as guilty about chilling out. Especially after the mad run of being busy busy busy Monday-Tuesday-Wednesday, I'm realizing I need Thursdays to just be my day, and then by Friday I'm ready to hit the ground running again. So Thursday after class I went home and ate the second half of my half of melon and took a nap. (I don't recognize myself with all these naps.)
After my nap I went and got a manicure. Larissa went to a place in our neighborhood just down the street from us like a week ago and recommended it to me. They did a really good job and it was cheap; I will be going back. It drives me crazy when I don't have my fingernails perfectly painted, and I just don't have time to paint them myself every three days anymore. I try to keep it real on the blog, but I will not be posting the before and after pics of my nails. It's too embarrassing. Just know the before was bad, but now I have sparkly blue gel nails that I don't have to worry about for a couple weeks.
After I got my nails done, I did a big load of laundry. While I was hanging it up to dry, I ate Lay's Campesinos chips and listened to my audiobook. I was having a great time. (To me, TO ME, that was more fun than Kapital. (I wrote that sentence as a joke (a true joke) and now I want to delete it because nerddddd booooooo but since I wasn't real and am withholding nail pics I'll keep it.)) Then I went to "teach" English, came home, had dinner, cleaned my room and bathroom, took a shower, finished my audiobook, and prepped for Friday.
I know this post/today is pretty boring. But this was a great day for me. I got so much done that I've been meaning to do forever. I'm so happy about my nails, and that the laundry is done, and that I ate chips and listened to my book while I did it. The melon was so good (as per usual), dinner was a salad Susana's made for me before that I really like. Sometimes, even when you're in Europe surrounded by big things, it's the little things <3
