On Saturday morning Larissa and I got our nails done at a place in our neighborhood. I hadn't gotten them done in like a month. They held up really well though. But so glad we did that.
Then we went to a mercado because my casadiella dealer finally texted me that he had some in stock. Presidential alert: I got casadiellas in Madrid. They said it couldn't be done, but I did it. Thank you to Sofía for her help and to everyone who came with me along the way.
Then Larissa and I ate lunch at an Italian stall in the mercado. It was so good. When we ordered I had low expectations, because I asked if there was anything vegetarian and the guy was like, "No absolutely nothing." And then I said anything with fish would be okay and he said they had smoked salmon lasagna with no other meat in it, so I went with that even though it sounded not great to me. And then Larissa ordered after me and she got pesto gnocci. And then we were like, "That sounds vegetarian... maybe there's chicken with it?" There wasn't, it was vegetarian. But the lasagna was sooo good (better than the gnocci--we tried each other's) so it worked out okay, the Spaniards not knowing what vegetarian means finally worked out in my favor.
Then we went to Jisenia's apartment to pick up some stuff we had left there and so Jisenia could try a casadiella--she came with me on the search and I promised her one but she was gone the day I brought them to school after Oviedo. Time to BeReal!
