Today I got my ears pierced with Bernadette and Larissa! I forgot to take any pictures because the three of us got split up and different people were doing our piercings, and it was just a lot of moving pieces and a lot going on. I got my third piercing in my lobes on each side. Bernadette got her right tragus, and Larissa got her fourth piercing on her right, by her lobe but a little above in the cartilage. I'm going to brag real fast: Bernadette watched me get both of mine and she said verbatim, “Elizabeth, you’re the calmest human ever, I couldn’t even tell when the needle was going in.” This should be impressive to people who know how I act when I get a shot.
Here's selfies I took after we left. I would attach a ear pic but it's a tiny bit bloody and I don't know if I have any readers that are sensitive to that <3 Text me and ask for one if I haven't already shown you and you want to see.
Here is the saline solution we bought. The place we went to had good ratings, was recommended to us by Spaniards, and wasn't sketch, but they did not give any instructions about taking care of the piercings lol. She did it and she was like "Okay you're good bye" and I was like "Wait! How long until I can change them?" And she was like "Six weeks byeee" as she shepherded me out the door. Luckily Bernadette and Larissa are piercing experts and know what to do, and this isn't my first rodeo either. Although have had many an ear infection, so I'm currently taking bets on whether or not these make it.
I had another fire mango when I got home. I love my frutería.
Then after dinner that night I went out with Larissa, Bella, Jason, and Carson to a bar in Chueca. It was so fun.
I don't know why my teeth look so yellow in this, I swear the lighting is just weird, but I'm not going through the work of downloading an app to fix it and then learning how to use the app so everyone just pretend okay. Anyway Larissa and me.
At the bus stop going home. I thought this building was cool.
In other news I learned a new phrase today! Larissa came over to my house in the morning, and then during dinner I was talking to Susana before we went to the bar and she was like "I can tell you and Larissa tenéis feeling." Loanword alert. And I knew what she was getting at but I was like "Tenemos feeling? I've never heard that what does is mean." Basically it means that we get along well and are kindred spirits, etc etc etc. But to "tener feeling" a girl has to be involved. Susana says saying that two boys "tener feeling" would sound weird, you can only use it for two girls or a girl and a boy. I'm gonna look more into this.
