Today I had planned to go to a palace, but my phonetics/phonology class was canceled last week because the teacher was sick, so we had a makeup class today and we'll have another one next Wednesday. Feels kinda illegal, but it's whatever.
Here's the pomegranate I had before class. Yeah.
Class was from 2:30--4, so after class I came home, made roommate tacos, and we got ready to go to Mamma Mia!
The theatre was super cool and very decorated for Mamma Mia.
When we sat down our seats looked terrible, like we weren't going to see the stage at all, but when the show started that wall went away and the stage went all the way back, so it was actually good! And they stayed pretty centered on the stage. I forgot my glasses, but I could still see pretty well :)

Time to BeReal!
Mamma Mia was very fun. The crowd energy was crazy; people were clapping and cheering the whole time. I was surprised by that, I didn't expect the Wednesday night to go that hard, but it made it even more fun. My favorite part was hearing the jokes in Spanish. A lot of the humor in the show is based around people showing up to places they're not supposed to be/drastically misreading the vibe and trying to have a conversation with someone that's not on the same page. I liked hearing a hundred versions of, "Hola, qué tal, todo bien, pues nada," when that was not what the situation called for. Also just generally I love looking at translations, so it was fun to hear all the songs put in Spanish. Donna and Sam carried.
After Mamma Mia me, Alana, Jisenia, Rose, Nicolasa, and Emely went to a Mexican restaurant that my parents went to (without me) while they were here in October and highly recommended. It was really good, thanks for the rec Mom + Dad. Here's me and Jisenia with our mango margaritas.
Guac for the table🙏
Green enchiladas for me. Very yummy.
So true.
