Every week in my religion class we have to read an article, and last week's article mentioned that the Catholic Church receives six billion euros every year from the Spanish government. While discussing this week's article, my teacher mentioned that fact and said (in Spanish, translated here to English), "Six thousand million." That tripped me up. Hard. I spent the next fifteen minutes trying to figure out if that was the same thing as six billion (spoiler: it is). But it broke my brain trying to get there. Rose saw me lose my mind. I took these notes, Googled questions like "how many zeroes in a billion," "is a thousand billion a million," etc. I asked her about it immediately after class and she said they're the same and that she saw the whole breakdown. I took a picture to commemorate for myself, but it's too funny, it belongs on the blog.

After class I stopped by the post office in the Corte Inglés that's on the way home from school. The post office is on the same floor as the books, so I was here for awhile. Just looking.

Then when I got home I had a pomegranate. Her.

After that it was time to go "teach" English. Beltrán is finally done with all his exams (for now) so he had time to talk to me today! It was actually just us for the whole hour. We had a lot to catch up on. And I told him about Word Matters (my favorite podcast).
