I went to Prague with Lauren, Addie, and Jisenia after Vienna! It was so neat. I knew less about Prague (except that it's like Evansville--thanks Madonna)*, which maybe made it more fun because so much was a surprise. Also for Vienna and Prague, my friends picked stuff to do that I wouldn't have picked myself or that I didn't know about, and everything they picked was amazing, so that was awesome too.
*For those unfamiliar: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s54bSVr2roU, minute 4:05. I made a lot of Evansville jokes. Lauren laughed every time, which was a mistake because it just encouraged me. But it was fun for me, so thanks Lauren.
The girls on the way to Prague. Thanks for the pic Lauren. We were tired, obvs.
I wish the windows on the trains weren't so reflective so you could see how pretty the view out the window is. I thought the same thing in Asturias.
As per usual, the first order of business was to find food.
Then we walked to our hostel to drop our stuff off. I took these pics on the way.
LEGO Museum right by our hostel🙏
We walked to a market after stopping at our hostel.
Pomegrantes at the market🙏
Then we walked to the center--hot chocolate break on the way.
This astronomical clock was one of like the two things I knew about in Prague and wanted to see, so this was epic.
Then Lauren and I took a medieval underground tour. It started in the old town hall, went under the old town hall, and then we walked around the center of town. Perfect Halloween activity.
More clock content sorry it's too cool.
Statue to the river--we should get one of these for the Ohio.
Then Lauren and I met up with Jisenia and Addie, who were in a 15th century cellar that smelled like a 15th century cellar.
Addie and Jisenia had already eaten, and Lauren wasn't that hungry, but I was (of course) so I found a vegetarian restaurant and my friends came with me which was nice.
Then the next day (November 1), Addie had found an art museum that used to be a manor (Trojský zámek), so I went with her to see it that morning. Here's some pictrues I took on the way.
This is the museum, but we were hungry, so we stopped for breakfast before going inside.
Back to the museum. Get ready to see a ton of frescos.
Europe is bonkers.
Lizard for Liam.
The castle was inside these walls, along with the cathedral and other historic buildings. It was like a mini city.
Cathedral time.
Find the Elisabeth.
In the castle.
Window from the Defenestration of Prague!!! I remember learning about this in AP Euro.
Church number two.
After the castle city we walked around until dinner.
John Lennon wall.
I don't know why this is so pixelated, I'll try to fix it later.
Indian food for dinner.
After dinner we went to a beer hall.
Obligatory dumb picture of me promising Lauren to go out on Friday. Spoiler alert though--Lauren tapped out (not me!).
Breakfast the next day.
Then we walked around until it was time to go to the airport.
LEGO Prague in the airport.
OK now I want to go to Prague!!! It looks amazing- sooooo much like Evansville;) I do like all the pastel-colored buildings though. And your breakfast with the fresh fruit looks delish. PS- you should spearhead a committee to get a replica statue for the Ohio River...
Salvador Dali does good things.
